HOME of the country’s brightest stars, ABS-CBN is treating its “Kapamilyas” to a musical extravaganza this weekend. Recorded live Tuesday, Dec. 11 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, the “Family is LOVE: The 2018 ABS-CBN Christmas Concert” will air as a two-part special starting tonight, Dec. 15 at 9:15 and tomorrow night, Dec. 16 at 8:30.
The #FamilyIsLoveChristmasConcert is a star-studded, annual Christmas tradition. Giving back to its fans, the network brings together the biggest names in show business in one grand event.
Some of the big names featured during the concert were the “love teams” of Kathniel (Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla), Jadine (James Reid and Nadine Lustre) and Lizquen (Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil). Vice Ganda unleashed her brand of comedy, while promoting her upcoming film “Fantastica.” Martin Nievera and Gary V. led the singing of classic Christmas tunes. OPM (Original Pinoy Music) acts Ben&Ben and December Avenue surprised the audience with their originals. Stars Angel Aquino and Tony Labrusca drew screams, Regine Velasquez continued to stun with her beautiful voice, and the entire cast of “FPJ’s ‘Ang Probinsyano,’” led by Coco Martin and Edu Manzano, treated fans to a special dance number.
All these names just make up a fraction of the number of celebrities who went all out for their supporters during the three-hour concert. In fact, two special and heartwarming performances which featured persons with disabilities are a must-watch.
