BAGS in general are indeed one of our trusted accessories. We bring one wherever we go. They definitely pull off our wardrobe adding to that needed fashion statement. Bags should be comfortable, should handle volume and keep us organized. Moreover, bags need not to be expensive.

Bayongs, are native Philippine bags originally made of buri or pandan leaves or abaca. Today, the bayong has gone a long way from the traditional market use to classic and elegant bags as fashion accessories. Modern ones are made of polypropylene plastic straps that have become more sturdy and durable.

They are versatile and come in different shapes and colors. Bayongs are also a very good eco bag alternative as we are all doing our best to protect our environment and take part in conservation.

This is good news to bag addicts! Kudos to Don Cristobal who has come up with his version of the bayong. The DC bags and bayongs may not be so different with others in the market when it comes to quality, but what makes the DC bayong extra special is its design. Each bag and bayong is personally designed and it is not mass-produced. Most of the designs are unique and special in a way that it is the only design in that particular bag. The DC Bayong is 100% handcrafted.

Catch them at the Metro Fashion Ball this Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. at the Events Pavilion of 500 Shaw Zentrum in Mandaluyong City. With Go, classic and carry all bags, back packs, envelope and clutch bags, tote bags and messenger bags ranging from P300 to P800 depending on size and design. Cheers to another Filipino design creative! See you there! DC file photos. drbrendaleeavillanueva@ymail.com
