P1-M worth of marijuana seized by Angeles police

THE Angeles City police confiscated P1.050 million worth of marijuana from four suspected drug pushers during a drug bust in Barangay Pulung Bulu at Saturday dawn, December 15.

Jayvee Canillo, 21, of Barangay Pandan; Charles Liclican, 26, of Baguio City; Joshua Manzano, 22, of Barangay Mining; and Nicole Meneses, 23, of Baguio City were arrested during the anti-drug operation conducted by elements of Police Station 1 and Police Station 3.

Police Station 1 personnel conducted the drug bust against Canillo at House Number 6020B Pamintuan Square.

Police agents were reportedly able to buy marijuana worth P500 from Canillo who immediately ran inside the apartment after sensing an entrapment operation.

Members of the police narcotics unit allegedly caught Liclican, Manzano, and Meneses handling several rolled bundle of marijuana leaves inside the apartment.

Policemen also seized the marked money from Canillo.

The four suspects were charged in court for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Senior Inspector Enrico Vargas, Angeles City police director, commended his men for the successful operation against Canillo and his group.
