A WELL-TAILORED and fitting suit and a well-made shoe are a must in any gentleman's closet.

From November 30 to December 2, Sapatero and Masanting Sastreria held a trunk show at Boss Barber Shop at The Site, Jacinto Ext. Also showcasing some of their products are homegrown coffee shop, Purge Coffee Roaster, and one of the newest hang-out place in the city, Bar Botanica.

This is their first time to conduct a trunk show in Davao city,

Founded in 2013, Sapatero offers clients handmade shoes by craftsmen and artisans from Marikina City, the shoe capital of the Philippines.

“Sapatero was born basically out of a passion for shoes, and the craft of making one. My partners - Jerwin and Raymond - and I, are very much into shoes, and through Sapatero we hope that someday the Marikina shoe industry will be able to catch up to the global standard or handmade shoes,” JR Jader said.

Meawhile, Masanting Sastreria was showcasing their well-tailored suits and services to Dabawenyos who came to visit them at Boss Barber Shop.

Mark Aguas, Masanting Sastreria founder, said with their visit here in the city, they are giving Dabawenyos a true bespoke or made to order experience.

Just like Sapatero, Masanting Sastreria is also doing its part in making Filipino tailoring talents become known globally with their clients from different parts of the world.

Those who visited the trunk show would not only get to see what they had to offer but also discuss with the owners and their teams the design they want to get. Clients were also able to see the materials they use for the shoes and the suits.

Here in Davao City, seldom do gentlemen get to experience customization of suits and shoes of this quality. The products offers and materials used by Sapatero and Masanting Sastreria are definitely of world-class quality.

While chatting with the group, they did mention that they may return to Davao City in the future. Therefore, gentlemen you might want to start saving up and take the opportunity to have your own suit tailored or shoes made during their next visit.
