5 nabbed for shabu, marijuana in Negros Occidental

FIVE persons were arrested for sale and illegal possession of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) and suspected marijuana in separate drug busts in Negros Occidental from December 14 to 15.

In La Castellana town, Jeryl Morante, 29, of Barangay Robles, was arrested in the said village on Sunday, December 16.

Police recovered from him three sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, two cellular phones, P2,100 in cash, and the P500 marked money.

In Talisay City, John Mark Lagura, 22, of Barangay Zone 2, and Levin Salem, 23, of Barangay Zone 10 were arrested in Barangay Zone 2 on December 14.

Police seized from them 17 sachets of suspected “marijuana” amounting to P15,000, a backpack, a cellular phone, and the P800 marked money.

Also arrested on the same day in Hinigaran town were Juanito Diamante, 29, of Barangay Gargato and Alejandro Dionio, 24, of Barangay Nanunga, which resulted to the recovery of four sachets of suspected shabu worth P3,000, an improvised glass tooter, two cellular phones, lighter, the P500 marked money, motorcycle, and P410 in cash.
