AN OFFICIAL of the United States' Commission on International Religious Freedom is set to visit Zamboanga City, the US Embassy announced Wednesday.

In a statement, the US Embassy said Commissioner Imam Tala Eid, founder and director of the Islamic Institute of Boston, is arriving Friday for a one-day visit in the city.

Eid will address students, faculty and members of the media on the “Role of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom” at the Western Mindanao State University.

Eid will also participate in Friday prayers, meet with local religious and community leaders, and hold discussions with peace advocates and human rights activists. (Bong Garcia)
