THE Davao City Health Office (CHO) received two new ambulances from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) which will be used in health centers in far-flung areas in the city.

“Naay gihatag ang atong PCSO sa city nga ambulance. One will be assigned in Toril and one in Marilog, sa mga health centers nato (PCSO donated ambulances to the city which will be assigned in Toril and Marilog health centers),” Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said Monday, December 17.

“We now have five ambulances under the CHO, three of which gikan sa PCSO so we would like to thank them for their support to the CHO,” she added.

During the flag ceremony at the City Hall Monday, a PCSO representative turned over the keys of the newly donated ambulances to Duterte-Carpio.

The lady mayor said the ambulances will be used for the transfer of patients from health center to the hospital, if necessary.

Meanwhile, CHO head Josephine Villafuerte said the ambulances will be used especially for birth delivery emergencies in Toril.

She said they inaugurated three health centers in Toril Monday with Duterte-Carpio and other heads.

“The new health center near the district hall has a birthing facility,” Villafuerte said.
