ONE who says that the Bible is infallible is just as blind as the organized religion that taught him that. The pioneer organized religion may be the Roman Catholic Church.
We were taught that Adam and Eve were the first human beings created by God. We believed this for a long time because we thought that the priests and preachers studied the Bible thoroughly. But I just realized recently that none of them read the Bible from page to page. So how can they admire something they had not thoroughly examined and inspected?
Because of the fanatics of religion, at an early age of 12, I developed the motto, “You’re not stupid, get the truth.” Now I found this motto in the title of the book written by William John Cox about the presidency of George Bush Jr.
The truth is not popular because it hurts. But after it hurts it probably heals. That’s why the “Four-way Test” of the Rotary Club seems unpopular. But I really like it because I also have my own test for the truth.
When I read Genesis 1:26-31, I learned that human beings were created on the sixth day of creation. On the seventh day God rested. Then in the Garden of Eden probably on the eighth day or later, God created Adam and Eve.
Eve cannot be the first woman because when her eldest son Cain got married outside of Eden, he found a wife. If Eve was the first woman, Cain would be marrying her own mother. That would be incest.
Organized religion are liars, using the Bible as an instrument of deception, using Paul’s letters as words of God. The question is, when did Paul become God? (Chito E. Germino)
