5 nabbed in separate Negros Occidental drug busts

FIVE persons were arrested for selling and illegal possession of "illegal drugs" in separate drug busts in Negros Occidental from December 17 to 18.

In Pontevedra town, Boylin Dela Torre, 43, of Barangay Miranda, was arrested on Tuesday, December 18, after police recovered from him 10 sachets of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing five grams worth P55,000, and the P500 marked money.

He is a high-value target and sixth top drug personality under the watchlist of Pontevedra Municipal Police Station.

In Bacolod City, Chris Dayanan, a high-value target and 10th top drug personality under the watchlist of Police Station 8, was collared in Barangay Singcang-Airport on December 18 after police seized from him four sachets of "shabu" worth P15,000, the P500 marked money, drug paraphernalia, and P250 in cash.

In Himamaylan City, Robert Pacionela, 23, of Barangay Suay, was arrested also on December 18. Recovered from him were three sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money, and a .38 caliber revolver with three live ammunition.

Another high-value target drug personality, Reynald Opelario, 45, was arrested in Barangay 13, Victorias City on December 17. Confiscated from him were shabu worth P5,000, P400 marked money, drug paraphernalia, coin purse, and P220 in cash.

Also arrested on the same day in San Carlos City was Kirk Morris Tambiga, 28, of Barangay 5, after he allegedly yielded three sachets of "shabu" worth P1,200, four sachets of marijuana worth P600, drug paraphernalia, holster, four live ammunition, a .38 caliber revolver, P210 in cash, bag, and P500 marked money.
