20 nurses, midwives graduate Japanese language training

TWENTY Negrense nurses and midwives received their certificates of completion for the Japanese Language and Culture Training Program in a graduation ceremony held at Oisca Bago Training Center in Bago City Monday, December 17.

The graduates completed their 640 hours of Japanese Language and Culture training conducted by Oisca Bago Training Center that started in August 2018.

Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. lauded the graduates for successfully finishing five months of intensive Nihonggo training. He also said that this is a big opportunity for them to have a better future whether they will work in Japan or in any country abroad.

The graduates include Femar Aquino, Ferlie John Argando, Mary Pauline Arro, Kevin Clyde Catequista, Melbourne Crispo, Renita Michelle Jane Dandan, Don Vetsky Decena, Mary Grace Joan Ebro, Rhea Mae Ermeo, John Mark Fernandez, Jazmin Ferrer, Lyrine Ortiz, Jaime Padrid, Jr., Edson Pakingking, Tracy Lane Rubio, Cherie Semeña, Hervie Superticioso, Arjean Faith Valiente, Danber Virtucio, and Hyacinth Ywayan.

Nineteen of them are scheduled to fly to Japan in January 2019. They will be studying Japanese Language and Caregiver Vocational Course while working part-time in a healthcare facility for three years and six months. They will then take a Caregiver License Examination that will enable them to work as a full-time caregiver for 10 years or more.

Also present in the ceremony are Oisca Director Shigemi Watanabe, Thelma Watanabe, Board member Salvador Escalante, Jr., Sensei Youku Nakashima, Sensei Hisato Kawabata, Provincial Agriculturist Japhet Masculino, Public Affairs OIC April Joy Duran and NOSP head Karen Dinsay. (PR)
