Alvaro to deliver speech at New York business forum

THE Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) together with the Department of Tourism (DOT) have invited Dr. Irineo Alvaro Jr., as the keynote speaker at a business forum on December 28 in New York.

Alvaro, who is set to fly in New York, will address business leaders (CEOs) from different United States-based companies and group of investors during the event dubbed as “An Invitation to a Forum: Private Sector Perspective of Clark as a Tourism and Investment Destination.”

“There is no more fitting way to hear about Clark than by hearing from Dr. Alvaro, a man who inspired the corporate world to invest inside the Freeport,” the invitation read.

Alvaro is the chairman and chief executive officer of BB Group of Companies and Medal Consortium, who ventured into developing multi-million dollar and world-class water theme parks (Aqua Planet), hotels, resorts and casinos (Midori and MIREJ) within the Freeport.

The topnotch businessman and prime mover for Clark is expected to discuss the business climate, policy changes, tax holidays as well as other economic benefits of investing inside Clark.

“Many were skeptics that there is life after the last American soldier pulled out from Clark. Today and decades later, the internationally resounding Clark is now the new center for business, industry, aviation, education, and tourism in the country as well as a leisure, fitness, entertainment and gaming,” Alvaro replied via text.

Alvaro is currently the president of Clark Investors and Locators Association, an organization of about 200 strong members from various industries inside the Freeport.

“All roads leads to Clark, because as I’ve said before, and I’ll say it again, Clark inevitable,” Alvaro said. (PR)
