THE Provincial Government of Pampanga and the local government unit (LGU) of Mabalacat City distributed food packages for the Christmas celebration of 11,012 residents of resettlement areas in this city.

Some 6,767 beneficiaries came from barangays Madapdap; 3,101 from Mawaque; and 1,144 from Sapang Biabas.

Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda told the recipients that the provincial government will always provide support to the indigents.

“It is our duty to be your helping hand in times of need or not,” he said.

According to him, the nanay community workers (NCWs) and barangay health workers (BHWs) are always ready to assist them in terms of medical assistance.

Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo assured Mabalaqueños that this yearend assessment and thanksgiving operation will not stop during the Christmas season.

He said that if not for the people, city officials will not be able to perform their duties well.

“With your all-out support and cooperation, the development of our City is continuous,” he said.

Assisting the vice governor and the mayor were senatorial candidate Francis Tolentino, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office head Elizabeth Baybayan, Provincial Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Office head Angie Blanco and other provincial officials. (Leah Isidro De Fiesta)
