OVER 23,000 local officials, barangay leaders, and supporters are expected to gather on Thursday, December 20, in the Third District Asenso Leaders Assembly at the Rafael B. Lacson Memorial High School in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
December 20 is also the birthday of Third District Representative Alfredo Benitez.
Silay City Mayor Mark Andrew Golez said that the mayors in the Third District have been preparing all the barangay leaders and supporters for the assembly.
Expected to arrive for the assembly and birthday celebration of Benitez today are Senators Joseph Victor Ejercito and Juan Edgardo Angara, Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos, retired police director general Ronald Dela Rosa, and former special assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence Go.
Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. and Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson are also invited to the assembly.
Benitez's brother, Francisco Benitez, will also speak in the assembly. He will be the lawmaker's successor in the district as he is running unopposed in the 2019 elections. (TDE)
