Mayor: Silay City workers receive P65,000 cash incentives

SILAY City Mayor Mark Andrew Golez said the City Government's 736 regular employees and officials received P65,000 cash incentives.

The said bonus, which is one of the highest among the local government units in the province, was released to the employees on Wednesday, December 19.

Part of the incentives for each employee was the P60,000 from the Seal of Good Local Governance award received by the city and the P5,000 from Performance Enhancement Incentives, the mayor said.

The cash bonus sourced from the savings of the city, Golez added.

Golez said this is already the third year that the city hall employees and officials received a huge bonus. Last year they received P50,000 each.

"This will spread out throughout the city and will be good for our economy. The employees never expected that we will give this huge amount for their extra bonus. They deserve this and I hope this will encourage and inspire our employees and officials to perform well in our respective jobs," Golez said.

"We received the Seal of Good Governance, Child-Friendly City, Seal of Good Governance on Environment and Fiscal Management Award. We also have an award for our good health services," Golez added.
