Confidently beautiful with red lips

IF Catriona Gray’s stunning makeup look during the Miss Universe coronation night doesn’t inspire you to rock a red mouth, I don’t know what will! Be confidently beautiful with red lip color—there are different formats to choose from aside from the usual lipstick, so you can find something you’re comfortable with.

Balm: Etude House Sugar Tint Balm in Shade 8

This is supposed to be a tinted lip balm, but with the pigmentation it packs, it’s more like a super moisturizing lipstick. Swipe on the bottom lip then press together for just-obvious-enough color, or swipe on both lips for the full ruby shade. I’ve been using this almost daily for more than a year (with regular disinfection to keep it sanitized) and yet it seems like I’ve only used a third of the tube.

Stain: Urban Dollkiss Urban City Real Liptone Tint in Blood Red

This cute apple-shaped lippie is glossy upon first application, but dries down to a shine-free stain in a few minutes. The short applicator gives more control, which makes this easy to use since one stroke delivers full pigmentation.

Pencil: Detail Makeover Lippie Liner in Kevin

Use this as lip liner, or what I do is line my lips then fill in for uniform color (and because most days, two products for lip color is too much work!). The gorgeous just-bitten red is weightless and lasts for hours for those who can’t be bothered to keep retouching. If you find this a little drying since it is a pencil, it still looks beautiful and doesn’t feather when layered with lip balm. Bonus: This is only around P100 and is available in Watsons.

Crayon: Happy Skin Moisturizing Matte Lippie in Snow White

This extremely popular limited edition collection by Happy Skin is inspired by Disney princesses. This true red is named for Snow White: Skin white as snow, lips red as blood. The chubby crayon makes it easy to outline the lips for a clean shape, then fill in with color, without needing a separate lip liner and lipstick. This has a matte finish but applies smoothly and does not dry the lips.
