TWENTY-six farmers from Barangay Malubog (Gen. Climaco), Toledo City completed last Dec. 7 their training in the Sustainable Livelihood Project on Organic Farming Technology, a program under the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Cebu.

DAR Cebu’s program aims to help increase income and create livelihood opportunities for the farmers.

Dr. Antonio A. Del Socorro, the provincial agrarian reform program officer II of DAR Cebu, attended the graduation held in Malubog.

The beneficiaries are members of the Malubog Farmers Association. The training helped in enchancing their skills for higher productivity and profitability in managing their respective farms.

DAR Cebu partnered with the Toledo City Government for the training of the farmers.

Other officials present during the event were Myrna Ricaña, the high value crops development program coordinator of Toledo City Agriculture Office; Felix de los Santos, the development facilitator of DAR’s Toledo City cluster; and Judy Maratas and Eleanor Ursonal of DAR Cebu’s beneficiaries development and coordinating division.
