Chacapna: Hotshot Christmas messages

LIKE Gerald K. Rudulph, I will inscribe Christmas messages close to a woman’s skirt, long enough to cover the subject but very short to keep what are alluring. It came from the notable persons I interviewed and arranged in accordance to availability.

There is no bluest Christmas this season as far as this school is concern. Every office is doing well. We are happy of the school’s success this year especially with the achievements of the students in competitions - Enrequita A. Rabanal, OIC principal PCNHS.

I believe in Christmas and it would be better if it’s every day. It’s not a big deal, I will give anytime, what I want to give, not just because it’s Christmas. My experiences as a family man defines what Christmas means. With all the funny and blue moments this season I cannot recall the best – Francisco C. Copsiyan, Supervisor Deped Baguio.

I’m quite busy now. I am in a clergy family program and in charge of one committee this season. Brenda M. Carino – Principal BCNHS.

My best moments this season is when I travel with my wife, buy gifts, wrap it around and distribute it as gifts – Benny O. Bomogao, Baguio City councilor.

There are no funny or blue moments in Christmas, we belong in the Deped system and it’s a natural one. Funny or blue moments this season is different during childhood and usually it’s not related to our job. If the system was set, we have to follow. This season, I’m happy as far as top management is concern – Fernando B. Eleponga, ALS supervisor Department of Education (DepEd) Baguio.

Christmas is hope. It’s an assurance of our Faith, otherwise according to Ma’am Sannad we will go to hell. Is it just because of Christmas that we have to give love? The true meaning of Christmas is to reflect our senses. Before you see others in their state, you have to see yourself. Sooner, good acts will radiate. Jacqueline Lampac, science supervisor Deped Baguio.

Christmas is about God’s love and how humanity respond to this love. But first you have to accept Jesus Christ in your life because HE is the Savior and the symbol of God’s love. Other religion responds to God’s love in different ways, but they are unaware of it. This season I’m thankful of the achievements especially the winnings of the various schools under this division – Federico P. Martin, Superintendent, DepEd Baguio.

If there will be nominations, I will put forward Dr. May Eclar as the “most inaccessible to written media for the year.” Her staff made me spent two half days to secure a very short interview. Purposely, I would like to ask some Christmas - New Year messages plus insights about the impact of federalism to basic education. It did not materialize, so that’s my bluest Christmas moment.

Now, I understand why the Philippines is the most dangerous place for journalist. We have Kris, Vice, Korinas and all the memes in the social media, yet no more Teehankees, Locsins and Tatads.

Economically speaking, journalists are dead. Now I’m really worried of my neighborhood carolers. However, my better half says “nu on-oney ni tuo manamot ira.” I don’t understand it, but it sounds funny. I just assumed that it means Merry Christmas to all.
