Balingasag Xmas Open Dalawahan Rapid Chess Team Tourney on December 29 in Balingasag, Misamis Oriental.
The day-long chessfest, limiting a combined average rating of 1950 on two boards, will be held at Joanne Place and Restaurant at the back of St. Peter’s College.
Organizers said the top-three team finishers will get P10,000, P6,000 and P4,000 each with trophies.
“We expect our young and talented players in Cagayan de Oro to join this event especially kadtong maayo modula nga gamay ra ang rating kay mas dako ilang chance modaug,” said local chess aficionado Ronald Banaag. (LLS)
