TALISAY City Hall held off a late fightback from Camren Ville to pull off an 110-107 win in the City Hoops Basketball League Season 6 Brinnovid Cup at the Vista Grande Gym in Talisay City.
Juntay Bardilas canned in 34 points for Talisay City Hall, while teammates Johncle Molero, Pahoy Alferez and Pablo Bacastique handed 18, 17 and 16 points, respectively.
Talisay City Hall ended the elimination round with a clean 5-0 (win-loss) record and finished on top of Bracket B. It trails Bracket A’s leader, Team John Dave Aznar, on point differential for the top spot in the overall team standing.
In the other game, San Remigio Properties squeaked past Obra Design + Build in their do-or-die matchup, 75-72, to clinch the fourth spot in the team standing.
Former University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers high-flying forward Randy de la Pisa was unstoppable as he towed his team to victory with 39 points.
Meanwhile, the Talisay City District Hospital downed the Squeezie Laundry, 108-102, to earn their slot in the playoffs. Bill Nuyad had a game-high 42 points while Brigmor Barliso and Jendyl Yap chipped in 19 and 18 points for the winning team. RSC
