TROPICAL Depression “Usman” has slightly intensified, although it has no direct effect on any part of the country as of 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 26, the state weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said it may raise Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal #1 (TCWS#1) over Eastern Visayas and northern Caraga provinces Wednesday night or Thursday morning, December 27.

Maritime travel may be disrupted in these areas, Pagasa said. As of 10 a.m. Wednesday, however, Department of Transportation (DOTr) monitoring of the various ports in the country showed cloudy skies, but calm seas.
