Lions Club holds Christmas party

THE Lions Club in Negros Occidental held its Christmas party at Resorts Negrense on December 17.

The club holds the distinction of being the first Lions Club organized outside Metro Manila and the first in Negros.

Next to Manila, Pasay and Quezon City Lions Clubs, the Occidental Negros Lions Club is the fourth club organized in the Philippines in the 1950s under the banner of Lions Club International.

Among its founding members were Don Francisco “Paco” Rojas and Fernando “Nanding” Cuenca.

Memorabilia of all the events, both domestic and international, attended and hosted by the members are on display at the Lion’s Den in St. Francis Building in Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City. (PR)
