THE Bacolod City Council congratulated Clair Clamor Magbanua and Allen Jake Sajot Talimodao on topping the recent Board Licensure Examinations for Professional Teachers.

Councilor Caesar Distrito, who authored a resolution, said Wednesday, December 26, that the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) recently announced the examinees who passed the September 2018 Board Licensure Examinations for Professional Teachers.

He said Talimodao, a graduate of the University of Negros Occidental–Recoletos (UNO-R), attained the ninth place in the Elementary Level Examination with an average of 87.80 percent while Magbanua, also a graduate of the UNO-R, got the ninth place in the Secondary Level Examination with an average of 91.20 percent.

Talimodao is the son of Barangay Granada chief Alfredo Talimodao Jr. and Dr. Juvy Talimodao, principal of Education and Training Center School (ETCS) II.

Magbanua is the daughter of Leovin Magbanua, a security guard from UNO-R and Arlene Magbanua, a teacher at Shiloh Christian School–Bacolod.

Aside from having the same rank in the board examinations, Talimodao and Magbanua, also graduated summa cum laude in UNO–R.

“For such excellent victory and accomplishment, the City of Bacolod is very proud for the honor that they brought, which is an inspiration to the aspiring teachers of the City to do their best and persevere in their studies to attain remarkable feats that they deserve,” Distrito said. (MAP)
