7 Bacolod police station commanders reshuffled

SEVEN police station commanders in Bacolod City were reshuffled effective December 23, a press release from Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) said.

Relieved from their posts were Senior Inspector Romulo Gepilango, head of Police Station 1; Senior Inspector Victor Paulino, head of Police Station 3; Chief Inspector Carmelo Nermal, head of Police Station 5; Senior Inspector Wilfredo Benoman Jr., head of Police Station 6; Chief Inspector Ramel Sarona, head of Police Station 7; Chief Inspector Ruel Culanag, head of Police Station 8; and Chief Inspector Charles Gever, head of Police Station 10.

The reshuffling of station commanders was due to the recent arrival of two commissioned officers on positions commensurate to their present rank.

Another reason was the failure of some station commanders to reach the target output policy set by the higher office.

Gepilango was replaced by Chief Inspector Jovil Sedel, who was previously assigned at the Mobile Patrol Group (MPG).

Gepilango now heads Police Station 5, replacing Nermal who is currently the administrative or human resource officer of the BCPO, replacing Senior Inspector Elmer Bonilla.

Bonilla is now the head of Police Station 6 replacing Benoman who is now assigned at MPG.

Culanag assumed the post of Paulino as head of Police Station 3. Paulino was moved to MPG while Gever took over Culanag’s post as head of Police Station 8.

Gever’s post was assumed by Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, who came from Police Station 4 as deputy police chief.

Sarona’s post was replaced by Chief Inspector Sherlock Gabana, whose post was assumed by Chief Inspector Ariel Pico as public information officer of BCPO. Sarona was transferred to MPG.

Meanwhile, Superintendent Adonis Rosales, head of Police Community Relations Section, was transferred to the MPG as officer-in-charge.

The turnover ceremony held at the BCPO headquarters last week was led by Superintendent Allan Macapagal, deputy city director for administration and the current officer-in-charge of BCPO, as Senior Superintendent Francisco Ebreo, acting BCPO director, took a break.

Police officers are relieved and transferred to other stations or places as they are expected to adhere to this organizational policy, a press release from the BCPO said.

In his message, Macapagal encouraged the police personnel to do better; be more productive; instill discipline; and respect their fellow.

They should accept the challenge to perform their best in the anti-criminality campaign of the office.
