CHRISTMAS is the most awaited season of the year in the Philippines. Starting in the month of September, the first "ber" month, Filipinos also start to decorate their homes with ribbons, bells, Christmas socks, and Christmas lights which signify that Lord Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

Panorama Summit Hotel, a New Orleans-inspired hotel located at Kilometer Seven Tigatto Road, Davao City lit up its recently-opened hotel on December 5, 2018. Its owner, Linda Castañeda, acknowledge her staff saying: "With your dedication, my staff, kaya tayo-tayo lang we only have few guests because this occasion is for you, for us to feel everything." The angelic voices of the members of the Himig choir serenaded the hotel’s management, staff, and guests.

After lighting the hotel’s Christmas lights, the hotel’s owners, staff, and their families were very happy seeing their hard work and creativity’s success. Panorama Summit Hotel’s Sales and Marketing Officer Ronan Pangramuyen also said the hotel’s Christmas lights signify the official opening of the hotel’s Christmas season.

The hotel’s Christmas ambience brought me to my childhood as its decors are associated with trains and little Christmas town which are placed beside their elevator.

Panorama Summit Hotel also offers delectable dishes like Callos, a Spanish-Filipino dish that is made of ox with tomato sauce, chorizo bilbao and other spices that led me to more servings at the dining table.

The hotel opened in April 2018 with modern chic New Orleans-based designs influenced by its owner who has massive decorative artifacts such as Mardi Gras memorabilia like masks and bright colored chairs. The hotel also showcases itself as a hotel for businessmen, leisure-seekers and anyone who seeks a homey ambiance.
