Ayala’s full of lovin’ this weekend

THIS Valentine’s Day, fall in love with Ayala Center Cebu as the mall paseos resound with music that speak of passion and romance.

On Saturday, Feb. 13, The Terraces plays venue to the Peace Philharmonic Philippines, a 16-member strong ensemble that will play beloved classics and renditions of favorite love songs.

Catch this pre-Valentine performance at 7 p.m.

On the day of hearts, Sunday, Feb. 14, 6 p.m. at The Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu presents Harana: The Best of Filipino Love Songs, part of the Bravo Filipino II series.

CCP-based Tenor Ronan Ferrer, UST conservatory of music-based Soprano Thea Perez-Prosia and award-winning pianist Rex Tolentino will play Filipino ballads like Minamahal Kita, Saan Ka Man Naroroon and Kung Kailangan Mo Ako. Bravo Filipino is a fusion of classic works, and contemporary and modern pieces in Philippine art, music, and fashion organized by the Ayala Foundation. Harana is the first of a series of events for Bravo Filipino II this 2010.

Stringed Ensemble will also perform a mix of classical and jazz music for shoppers at 3 p.m. at Active Zone and 6 p.m. at Paseo Solana on Feb. 13 and Feb. 14.
