Chacapna: Some additional messages this season

THE first day of every year, ‘tis a time where almost everyone squares off with hope - a word that implies everlasting. Discard worries, bury squabbles and forget Jack – the name representing doubt, disgust, dismay and distrust. Fooling you aside, Jack fades in a while giving way to some sensible or funny responses to what might be my first and the last tête-à-tête this year.

With or without beer? When we cross that path one way or another, I hope to see you discussing with me how ALS (Alternative Learning System) works. How we plan and execute it including the public perception of the system - Supervisor Fernando B. Eleponga.

“Awan ti new years resolution ko, haan dak man nga saludsuden ti kakasta” – Supervisor Francisco Copsiyan. I have encountered difficulty decoding this so I accessed Google for the translation and accordingly, it means “Come what may.”

No recording of interviews please. By way of more energy, I look towards the direction of more successful results in every school competition attended to by Pines City National High School - OIC principal Enrequita Rabanal.

Good health and more diet for everyone – BAPSTEA President George Cawas.

I do not fancy intelligent people, because they are difficult to deal with especially when it comes to attitude. This year I will continue to become advocates against abortion, women and child abuse, drug addiction, graft and corrupt practices to name a few - Superintendent Federico P. Martin.

What I oddly remember this season is when I received a gift given by a female classmate way back in elementary. I was dismayed at first because it was wrapped in a matchstick box. And I was bullied by my classmates who received larger gifts. When I opened it along the way, it contained a two-peso paper bill and a bubble gum. I was overjoyed because that bill before can buy a lot.

So, in life, don’t be discourage with sizes. Further, if you cannot find the person to be interviewed just go and talk to the guards. They are the eye of every office –PDO Juris doctor Samuel Bab-anga.

For all the sons and daughters of Deped teaching or non – teaching employees, to tail at least the straight but good path in life, I wish you luck – BCNHS EA President Paul Colingan.

Time changes fast. What I can recall is when this division office building was made up of woods. And as the years gone by, it has run-down. We made much efforts to make it a concrete structure as what you can see today – Supervisor Renaldo Umayat.

In a friendly cockfight last season, I have sensed that my rooster appears to be weak and running or “dehado” against a robust “liyamado” rooster of a contender. Thus, I plonk my bet on the other side. The sad part was that my own rooster won at the end. Prediction, sometimes fail – Master Teacher Alan Litaoen.

So there go the messages. I’m giggling at Sir Alan’s experience regardless if it’s true or false. But what I can recollect in my childhood days this season are the lyrics of Ray Evans: whatever will be, will be, the future that I will be, Que Sera Sera. Happy new year to all!
