MASANTOL -- An official of this town has sought the help of the Provincial Board (PB) for the immediate repair of a broken gate valve of a control dike here.
Masantol Liga ng mga Barangay president Bernie Guevarra reiterated his request Thursday for assistance as the breached dike is endangering nine other barangays.
Guevarra said Barangays Sta. Cruz, Cambasi, Puti, Sta. Monica, San Agustin, Bebe Anak, Bebe Matua, Bulacus and Malauli near the dike are in imminent danger.
“We have forwarded this request to Gov. Eddie Panlilio but as of now no action has been taken,” Guevarra said.
He said that he has forwarded instead their plea to Board Member Joel Simpauco whom he said vowed to act on the repair of the control dike. (Jovi T. De Leon)
