A FARMER shot and killed his brother in the midst of a heated argument Saturday evening, December 29, in Zamboanga Sibugay.
Ramon Puada, Jr., 48, failed to reach the hospital alive after his elder brother, Rolando, shot him.
Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, said Rolando feared that Ramon would also kill him since Ramon had killed two of their brothers.
Galvez said Ramon, who was under the influence of alcohol, had come from a farmers’ festival and Christmas party.
The brothers had a heated altercation, during which Rolando shot Ramon, at 7:10 p.m. on December 29, in Purok 1, Barangay Lagting in Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Galvez said the suspect fled after the shooting and is now the subject of a police follow-up operation. (SunStar Philippines)
