CHELLA Grace Falconer, representing the municipality of Medina, won the Best in Swimsuit Award of Miss Kuyamis 2019 during the swimsuit competition last December 29 at Lohas Airport Hotel in Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental.

Wearing the stunning black swimsuit designed by Kagay-anon fashion designer Bea Bianca, the 20 candidates from different municipalities and city of Misamis Oriental captured the audiences' attention.

However, Falconer was able to gain the judges' favor, garnering a total of 45.5 points which won her the Best in Swimsuit award.

"I feel really amazing because you can see that there are 20 beautiful candidates and I'm chosen as the Best in Swimsuit," Falconer said.

According to Falconer, winning the swimsuit competition has boosted her confidence, particularly with her physique as she used to be insecure of her body.

"I used to be so insecure about my body but winning the Best Swimsuit really tells me that you can be anyone you want to be, you can be the best of yourself, only if you work hard enough," Falconer said.

Falconer, an accounting student at Xavier University, said she did a lot to prepare for this pageant, monitoring her diet, exercise and practicing at night as she has to study by daytime.

"It’s very hard for me to manage my time but I'm really blessed because I can manage both (studies and pageant) which is a good thing because I can't sacrifice any one of them," she said.

Falconer is one of the 20 candidates who will have to compete over the title of Miss Kuyamis 2019. The grand coronation night will be held at the Tagoloan Dome on January 10.
