Pineda: Stella Marquez-Araneta still owns Miss Universe PH franchise

ACCORDING to an online site, Stella Marquez-Araneta clarified that the franchise of Miss Universe Philippines is still under her Bb. Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI).

The former beauty queen mentioned that she has no idea where the news came from stating that the franchise of the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) has been offered to Governor Luis Chavit Singson's LSG Group.

“We'll it's still with us.” says Araneta.

“If some people are saying something else, let them talk about it, but I have not heard any news of that sort from MUO.

“I was with the people of Miss Universe. Well, I have bonding with them for many years.

Before the year ends, it has been the talk of the town that allegedly MUO offered the Philippine franchise to Singson.

However, on a separate interview with Singson, he allegedly said that he hasn't accepted the offer yet.

He also said that he is still thinking if he would remain as sponsor for the prestigious pageant or accept the franchise of Miss Universe Philippines.

As of Friday, the 68th Miss Universe which will be held in South Korea this 2019 will be financed by Singson's LCS group.

Singson became close with the MUO when the Miss Universe 2016 was held in Manila. Reason why Singson's daughter Richelle Louise Singson-Michael, the executive officer of Platinum skies Aviation, was chosen as one of the judges in the 67th Miss Universe pageant which was recently held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Catriona Gray was the Philippine representative where she was proclaimed Miss Universe.

Is it true that Angel Locsin's “The General's Daughter” is replacing the the JoshLia teleserye?

Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia's prime-time series, Ngayon at Kailanman, is down to its last three weeks on ABS-CBN.

This was announced last December 31 through a teaser trailer of the show's finale.

In recent episodes, Eva (Julia) and Inno (Joshua) have rekindled their love for each other, after being separated for a long time.

Inno's brother, Oliver (Jameson Blake), is suffering from depression after losing Eva. This caused intense rivalry between Inno and Oliver.

The show's main kontrabida, Stella (Alice Dixson), has finally gotten out of jail and is plotting her revenge against Eva and her mother, Rebecca (Iza Calzado).

Rebecca, on the other hand, has yet to wake up from coma after an accident planned by Stella.

The show, which premiered on August 20, will air its final episode on January 18, 2019. The teleserye will air its final episode on its 22nd week.

Ngayon at Kailanman, formerly titled Nostalgia, is the JoshLia love team's first teleserye together, after starring in a string of movies.

Meanwhile, no announcement has been made yet on which show will replace Ngayon at Kailanman.

However, ABS-CBN has been consistently airing teasers of Angel Locsin's comeback series, The General's Daughter.

Its full trailer was released on television on December 14, 2018.

Regine Velasquez was tapped to sing the show's theme song, “Ikaw Ang Aking Mahal,” which was released on TV on December 21, 2018.

Even then, teasers were only saying that The General's Daughter will be airing soon, and its airing date has yet to be revealed.

If The General's Daughter will replace Ngayon at Kailanman, it will be the first teleserye of ABS-CBN to air this 2019.

Moreover, this will be the third time that an Angel Locsin teleserye will serve as the Kapamilya network's opening salvo.

The first time this happened was in 2008, when Angel's first Kapamilya series, Lobo, premiered on January 28, 2008, along with two other shows.

These two other shows, Kung Fu Kids and Palos, were aired as part of ABS-CBN's 55th anniversary.

The second time was in 2014, when Angel starred in the TV series, The Legal Wife, which premiered on January 27, 2014.

The General's Daughter also features Albert Martinez, Ryza Cenon, Tirso Cruz III, Arjo Atayde, Paulo Avelino, Maricel Soriano, Eula Valdes, Janice de Belen, JC de Vera, Loisa Andalio, and Ronnie Alonte.
