LENOVO Philippines yesterday launched a new laptop series that blends professional performance, usability and design with new color options.

The two new products of Lenovo that will be added to the new line of the ThinkPad laptops and portfolio are the “ThinkPad Edge” and the “ThinkPad X100e.”

In a news conference, Maria Victoria Agorilla, country general manager of Lenovo Philippines, said the new models of ThinkPad are designed specifically for the small to medium sized businesses (SMB).

“SMB customers tell us they want personal computers with bold yet professional designs, uncompromising durability and reliability with the latest technologies that meet their budgets. Our answer is the new ThinkPad Edge family of laptops,” Agorilla said.

While retaining the durability and reliability of the classic model of ThinkPads, the ThinkPad Edge laptop gives a new and clean appearance with quality performance at an affordable price.

The ThinkPad Edge comes with 13-, 14-, and 15-inch models with features that include contemporary keyboard with redesigned function keys to allow users to use only one finger to access multimedia functions.

ThinkPad’s 12- and 15-inch models also come with illuminated keyboards that allow keyboard visibility in low light conditions.

They include expanded touchpad and new color options such as heatwave red, midnight black and matte black.

On the other hand, the ThinkPad X100e is Lenovo’s first “professional-grade ultraportable laptop” for business users.

Making it useful and effective for SMB’s, X100e has a professional-grade features with processors that are equipped for multitasking and running typical office applications and support corporate operating system such as the Microsoft Windows 7 Professional.
