TO better serve the public, the Cebu City Government now offers online processing of community tax certificates, commonly known as cedula.
Mayor Tomas Osmeña, in his Facebook post, said that an online system for cedula will save the time of the public.
A number of individuals getting cedula is a daily scenario in City Hall.
“Not only does this save you time from having to wait in City Hall, it also gives you the opportunity to review and verify all your details from the comfort of your own home. You will be saving time and stress for everyone involved, as well as your fellow Cebuanos who want to avoid standing in line as much as you do,” Osmeña wrote.
Those who want to get a cedula online may visit the Cebu City Government website.
They will have to fill out a form for the request.
A citizen should bring the reference number along with an identification card for the paying and claiming of the cedula at the City Treasurer’s Office.
Students will have to bring their school ID or recent study load while the elderly will have to bring their senior citizen IDs.
For employed individuals or persons earning income, they will have to bring their Bureau of Internal Revenue Form 2316, income tax return, payslip and other similar documents. RVC
