NINE persons were arrested in separate drug busts in Negros Occidental from January 5 to 8.
In Bacolod City, Leobert Jalando-on and Ruel Bebiera were arrested in Barangay Banago for the alleged sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs on Tuesday, January 8.
Police confiscated from them seven sachets of "shabu" (methamphetamine hydrochloride), P800, and marked money.
In Victorias City, Rene Estrella, 36, of Barangay 2, a newly-identified drug personality, was collared in the said village on Monday, January 7, after the police seized from him five sachets of "shabu" worth P5,000, the P400 marked money, P538 in cash, lighter, and a ball cap.
In Talisay City, Jun Jun Iglesias, 26, of Barangay Zone 5 was arrested in the said village on January 7 after he allegedly yielded six sachets of "shabu" worth P12,000, the P500 marked money, and pouch.
He is the 10th drug personality under the target list of the city police station.
Also arrested on Monday for drugs in Kabankalan City was Peejay Ayagan, 36, of Barangay 3. He is a street-level target and a drug surrenderer.
Police recovered from him 10 sachets of "shabu" amounting to P12,000, the P500 marked money, an improvised tooter, lighter, cellular phone, P1,770 in cash, and a motorcycle.
Over the weekend, Jay-r Lacson, 32, of Barangay Robles, La Castellana town, was arrested in the said village on January 6, resulting in the confiscation of four sachets of “shabu,” the P300 marked money, two cellular phones, and P997 in cash.
Lacson is a drug surrenderer and 10th drug personality under the target list of the municipal police station.
On Sunday, January 6, Rumolo Lioberato III, 24, of Barangay Zone 6, Cadiz City was arrested in Barangay Zone 3, after police recovered from him three sachets of “shabu” worth P2,500, and the P500 marked money.
He is a newly-identified street-level target drug personality.
In Manapla town, Henry Madilla, 25, of Barangay Tortosa, was arrested in the said village on Saturday, January 5, leading to the recovery of four sachets of “shabu” worth P4,000, and the P500 marked money.
He is the 10th drug personality under the drugs watchlist of the municipal police station.
On the same day, John Paul Sibulan, 32, of La Carlota City, was arrested in Barangay Poblacion, San Enrique town after he allegedly yielded five sachets of “shabu,” and the P500 marked money.
He is the seventh top drug personality of La Carlota City Police Station. (GYM)
