880 food kiosks during Dinagyang Festival

AROUND 880 kiosks will sell food and beverages around metro downtown during the three-day highlights of 51st Iloilo Dinagyang Festival on January 25-27.

“We already marked the areas where these kiosks will be put up and we will provide them with electricity lines for their light only,” said Joeffrey Agilles, kiosk-in-charge of Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation Inc.

He added that separate fee will be required for additional socket.

The 2.5x3-meter kiosk costs P2,200.

Selling is done at Ker Building at the back of City Hall.

Owners are issued receipt and permit upon payment.

Kiosks are situated at Valeria-Delgado Streets, Iznart Street, Bonifacio Drive, and Ledesma Street.

“Kiosk owners need to secure their health card which will be presented during the inspection of our personnel in order to ensure that the food they sell are clean and safe,” Agilles said.

The public is reminded that smoking and vaping are not allowed, as well as posting of cigarette or vaping posters, billboards, and promotions. (PR)
