THE newly-constructed Dinagyang grandstand will be blessed at 8:30 a.m. of January 11 at Muelle Loney in Iloilo City.
The blessing ceremony will be held in time for the 51st Dinagyang Festival Opening Salvo, which is at 3 p.m., and First Ilonggo Youth Music Festival at 6 p.m.
The almost 2,000-seat facility will host the highlights of the Dinagyang celebration on January 25-27.
The City Government spent P45 million for the construction.
The old site now hosts the newly-restored Sunburst Park at JM Basa Street, which will be turned over by the Tourism Infrastructure Enterprise Zone Authority at 10 a.m. of January 11. (PR)
