THE Recodo National High School in the western part of Zamboanga City on Tuesday, January 8, received a newly-built three-story, six-classroom building worth P13.8
million.
The school building was built by a private contractor under the supervision of the Department of Public Works and Highways.
First district Representative Celso Lobregat, who initiated the project, led the inauguration of the newly-completed school building.
During the turnover ceremony, Lobregat expressed his gratitude to the late Victor
Consunji of the DMCI Holdings, Inc., who donated the one-hectare lot on which the building was constructed.
With the new building, the Recodo National High School now has eight buildings with 54 classrooms. The school has a classroom-student ratio at 1:27. It has a
student population of 1,500. (Bong Garcia)
