SEVEN persons were arrested in separate drug busts in Negros Occidental on Tuesday, January 8.
In Silay City, Roland Constantino,46, of Barangay Lantad, a target listed drug personality, was arrested in the said village after he allegedly yielded 10 sachets of "shabu" (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing five grams worth P75,000, drug paraphernalia, canister, cellular phone, the P1,000 marked money, P3,500 boodle money, and P300 in cash.
In Himamaylan City, Kristian Paul Castillo, 28, of Barangay Aguisan; and Leo Roldan, 32, of Binalbagan town were arrested in Barangay Aguisan for the alleged sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs.
Castillo is a level-one high-value target and a drug surrenderer.
Police recovered from Castillo three sachets of "shabu," drug paraphernalia, coin purse, and P400 in cash while Roldan reportedly yielded two sachets of suspected shabu.
The recovered illegal drugs have an estimated value of P20,000.
In Kabankalan City, Bonifacio Titong Jr., 30, of Barangay 1, a newly-identified drug personality; and Cristobal Titong, 31, of Barangay 4, a level-one high-value target, were collared after police seized from them seven sachets of "shabu" worth P12,000, P1,132 in cash, the P100 marked money, and a straw.
In La Carlota City, Johnrich Sacudit, 22, of Barangay RSB was arrested after authorities confiscated from him five sachets of "shabu" worth P2,500, the P300 marked money, lighter, and a motorcycle.
In Bacolod City, Joseph Calinao was arrested in Barangay Singcang-Airport, resulting in the recovery of three sachets of "shabu" worth P20,000, and the P200 marked money.
Calinao is the eighth top drug personality under the watchlist of Police Station 8.
Meanwhile, a drug suspect was able to escape during the drug raid in Barangay 5, San Carlos City.
Police identified the suspect as Rogelio Despi, who is at large.
Authorities recovered during the operation seven sachets of "shabu" weighing four grams worth P48,000, and a pouch.
