THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) conferred its Suking Tindahan Seal to Barretto Mini Mart, the first recipient in Olongapo City.

“We award this to existing privately-owned major sari-sari stores or cooperatives who are committed to sell basic necessities and prime commodities within or lower the suggested retail price (SRP),” DTI Provincial Director Leonila Baluyut said.

The store should carry at least 50 percent of the basic necessities and 50 percent of the prime commodities which are under the jurisdiction of DTI. It may also sell products not covered by SRP but must be at reasonable prices.

“Recipients will benefit from our promotional activities such as Negosyo Konsyumer Atbp to increase more patrons or sukias well as recommendation for financial loans and assistance through Pondo sa Pagbabago at Pag-Asenso, if qualified,” Baluyut added. (PIA-3)
