WITH the New Year comes all things fresh to look forward to. This includes the latest fashion trends. Some may have been revisited, revamped or reinvented but one thing is certain: It’s always fun to see what to experiment with. Here to share what are some of the trends to look out for this year are three of Cebu’s creative talents.

Neon

Be a head turner this 2019! For sure, you won’t go unnoticed with this eye-catching trend. Neon colors are all over the fashion runways. Jeremy Scott, Prabal Gurung and many more fashion brands showed full neon outfits in different shades. Be bold and adventurous. Take this trend with you and make it your own.

Tie Dye

Nostalgia fever continues with chromatic stained clothes. The ‘60s print made a scene on the runways and will make a comeback. If you thought that the tie dye trend is only for summer, designers proved that this hippie print can go with any look! Experiment and play with these fun prints.

Animal and African Prints

Go wild this 2019 because animal and African prints alike will surely make waves. Don’t be afraid to release your inner animal spirit by donning that sleek tailored Snake Print Pantsuit or a fun ruffled Leopard Print Silk Organza Maxi Dress. This 2019 will surely be bolder on prints since African Ankara would also be served hot the whole year round as well. Choose items that are sleek, tailored and structured if you’ll be trying these prints for the first time.

Short Shorts

Yup, you’ve heard that one right. The shorter, the better. These short shorts were all over the runways this season and the best ones are in Ankara, tie dye and psychedelic retro prints. Go ahead and unearth that vintage turtle neck of yours and pair it up with these teensy bum-skimmers to complete the look. Invest on some now. Stop skipping leg day and flaunt those amazing calves this 2019.

Pockets

We are carrying more and more things yet we do not want to bring bulky bags. There are accessories that serve as complementary pockets just like harnesses, vests and belt bags. They are also very functional pieces which can easily spruce up your look from plain boring to streetwear!

Volume

Women probably had enough of skin tight clothes. Okay! They still love those. However, this year, ladies will be more playful with volume through ruffles and maxi dresses. Another way to play with volume is disrupting the proportion of classic pieces. Just like a crisp white shirt but with oversized long sleeves.
