Guv: Dancing inmates to plant trees (5:55 p.m.)

CEBU CITY -- Dancing inmates of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) will now shift to planting trees after their choreographer resigned.

Governor Gwendolyn Garcia said in a television interview Friday that instead of the normal dancing exercise, the inmates will plant trees as part of their contribution to society.

This after CPDRC's lady choreographer, Gwendolyn Lador, reportedly resigned from her post.

Garcia denied that the shifting of exercise has something to do with her current relationship with her cousin, Byron, who is also the head of CPDRC.

Garcia said the dancing will continue after a new choreographer is hired.

As of this posting, Byron did not release any comment on the issue. (Sunnex)
