DTI confers first ‘Suking Tindahan’ seal in Aurora

BALER, Aurora -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) conferred its Suking Tindahan Seal to Myrna P. Moreno Grocery & Rice Retailer, becoming the first recipient in Aurora.

The store is located in front of the Municipal Public Market in barangay Suklayin, Baler town.

“We are awarding the Suking Tindahan Seal to major sari-sari stores selling at least 50 percent of basic commodities and 50 percent of prime commodities under our jurisdiction,” DTI Provincial Director Edna Dizon said.

To qualify, the price of the basic and prime commodities being monitored by DTI must be within or lower the suggested retail prices.

“They must also protect the welfare of consumers and comply with Fair Trade Laws,” Dizon added. (PIA-3)
