TWO high-value drug targets were nabbed by authorities and more than half a million illegal drug items were recovered during an entrapment operation conducted at Wing-Wing Car Service Shop, Dacudao Avenue in Barangay Paciano Bangoy, Davao City.
The arrested suspects were identified as Joel Pilaypa Alcoriza, alias “Bogbog”, 43, single, unemployed and resident of Guerrero-Juan Luna, Davao City and Danny Baluran Villarta, 44, single, unemployed and resident of Malagamot, Panacan, Davao City.
Based on the report, around 4:35 p.m. on Friday, January 11, operatives of Sta. Ana Police Station together with agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA 11) launched a buy-bust operation and apprehended the two.
Confiscated and recovered from the suspect's possession and control were 14 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu; a P1,000 bill used as buy-bust money; one unit of white Nokia keypad cellphone; and one piece black plastic eyeglass case.
Several sachets of illegal drugs with an estimated street market value of P624,000 weighing around 52 grams were turned over to Sta. Ana Police Station while cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act were prepared against the two.
