COUPLES who want to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a unique way will have their chance as tomorrow’s Run with a Smile at the Ayala Center Cebu Terraces will have a couples category.
This is the first time a couples category has been added to the usual men’s and women’s open divisions in the 10K.
The winner in the division will receive a dinner certificate for two, while the second and third placers will receive minor prizes.
Couples who want to join must provide a photocopy of their marriage certificates and IDs when they register at Center for Sight at the Cebu Doctors’ University Hospital.
During the run, the couples must be within five meters of each other during the whole course and must hold hands when they cross the finish line.
Meanwhile, aside from the cash prizes and medals, the winners in the 10K division will receive free oral prophylaxis (teeth cleaning and polishing) courtesy of Dimoc Dental Center.
