Road closures in Mandaue on Friday morning

AUTHORITIES advised commuters and motorists who will pass by Mandaue City on Friday morning, Jan. 18, to go out early to avoid traffic during the Traslacion.

The Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue (Team) will start road closures around 7 a.m. It will probably reopen the roads after two hours.

The Cebu City-Mandaue City Traslacion is part of the Fiesta Señor activities. It will happen following a mass after the Walk with Mary in Cebu City.

Team will close the whole stretch of J. Lopez Jaena St., from Innodata up to the corner of A. del Rosario St. near the skywalk, in Barangay Tipolo.

The city's traffic agency will also close M.C. Briones St. up to the corner of S.B. Cabahug St.

The whole stretch of S.B. Cabahug St. up to the corner of A. del Rosario St. are included in the road closures.

No vehicles will be allowed to travel on A. Soriano Ave.

Team advised those coming from the north to take H. Abellana St. in Barangay Canduman or M.L. Quezon Ave. in Barangay Maguikay. Both streets lead to Barangay Talamban, Cebu City.

For those who are from south, Team urged them to take the road in Barangay Banilad, Cebu City that leads to A.S. Fortuna Ave., M.L. Quezon Ave. and H. Abellana St. They can also take the North Reclamation Area and avoid the national highway in Mandaue City. (From FMD of SuperBalita Cebu, KAL )
