THE prices of gasoline are rising.

Motorists are now readying their budget as the additional excise tax being implemented under the second tranche of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (Train) Law takes effect this month.

Consumers are seen rushing to gasoline stations, squeezing their last centavo to purchase significantly lower petroleum prices while they can.

Under the Train Law, the additional excise tax is pegged at P2 per liter on diesel and gasoline, P1 per liter on kerosene, and P1 per kilogram on liquefied petroleum gas.

Gasoline stations could not increase their prices unless their stock, prior to the price increase, will run out as mandated by the Department of Energy.

With this, we would like to ask our reader's participation. Help us by taking a photo of the prices of fuel in gasoline stations you recently visited. Cite the gas station, address, date and time the photo was taken.

We want to know how much you are paying for your gasoline and at what gasoline station you can tank up the cheapest.

Send your photos to our Facebook pages (@SunStar Cebu, @SuperbalitaCebu, and @SunStarPhilippines) via photo comment or direct message. (JGS)
