THREE suspected big-time drug pushers were arrested while some P6.8 million worth of illegal drugs were seized in a drug bust in Zamboanga City Tuesday, January 15.

Those arrested were Sadan Alkaris Jailani, 22; Rajan Jumaani Sahaw, 26; and Ismail Indalez Nassal, 52.

Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Luis Licup, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula director, said they were collared in a drug bust at around 1:05 p.m. Tuesday inside an eatery along Pilar Street in Zone IV, Zamboanga City.

Licup said the three suspects yielded a kilo of suspected shabu, or methamphetamine hydrochloride, with an estimated market value of P6.8 million.

They were arrested by joint police, military and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives.

Licup said the arrested suspects were placed under the custody of the PDEA regional office.

The drug bust was part of the high-impact operations against major drug traffickers in Western Mindanao as ordered by Philippine National Police Director-General Oscar Albayalde.
