THIS time of the year in Cebu, the image of the Santo Niño is all over the city. Some of them are in a special exhibit like the one at Golden Prince Hotel and Suites.

Benedict Que, hotel manager, said that this is the first time the hotel has mounted such an exhibit, thanks to a group of friends (Hijos de Maria) who wanted to share their images with the general public.

The exhibit “Bato Balani sa Gugma: Pasundayag sa Kapistahan sa Sugbu,” kicked off the hotel’s activities for the Sinulog festival. Before the exhibit opening, the hotel staged—for the first time—a Sinulog Procession to remind everyone of the true essence of Sinulog: the veneration and celebration of the Santo Niño de Cebu.

The Santo Niño exhibitors are Doxch Tiro, Ruel Manzanares, Kevin Mahusay, Ellis Manuel Mendez, James Donell Guinitaran, John Paul Anore, Jessam Felicano, Mark Steven Go, Alex Cedeno, Alvin Agnes and Alexandre Pierre Pardillo Heyrosa. Their collections showed the different facets of the Child Jesus.

The exhibit is mounted along the hallway of the hotel, making it a very visible display of the hotel’s and the city’s love for the Santo Niño. It will be there until after the Sinulog festivities of the Basilica del Santo Niño Minore.
