Jasaan wins Kuyamis Festival Booth Competition

THE municipality of Jasaan was declared as the grand winner of the Kuyamis Festival 2019 Booth Competition during the awarding ceremony last Friday night, January 11, at Limketkai Luxe Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.

Misamis Oriental Governor Yevgeny Emano personally handed over the cash prize worth P200,000 and trophy to the winning municipality.

The second place went to the municipality of Sugbongcogon while the third place was awarded to the municipality of Initao.

The judging of the Kuyamis Festival 2019 Booth Competition started last January 7 wherein 15 municipalities and one city of Misamis Oriental competed and showcased their respective products in their booths located in the capitol grounds.

The winners for the Kuyamis Photo Competition were also announced during the awarding ceremony.

For the Mobile Category, Brian Lonzaga from Iponan was declared the grand winner, followed by Zandrielin Cantutay of Balingasag as the second placer.

For the Conventional Category, Emmanuel Paller Jr. from Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City won first prize, while Jon Vill Quirog from Camella Homes, Cagayan de Oro City won second place.

All winning photos were displayed in the second floor hallway of Limketkai Luxe Hotel, just outside the Emerald Room where the Governor’s Night and awarding ceremony took place last Friday night.
