Powerfloor and Mondo Skimcoat started off their quarterfinals campaign in the Architects+Engineers Basketball Davies Paints Cup on a high note by winning their games last Jan. 12 at the University of San Carlos Main Gym.
Powerfloor beat Liquid-Tile, 93-81, in Bracket A thanks to Lawrence Gayotin’s strong play.
Lawrence Gayotin led Powerfloor with 18 points and 13 rebounds along with four assists and a block. Ayi Armenion added 14, Barn Rabaya chipped in 12 and Rodney Labang had 10.
Michael Cinco exploded with 31 markers along with five rebounds and a block. Lemuel Aspacio and Richard Badayos chipped in with 18 points each.
On the other hand, Mondo Skimcoat outclassed Megacryl, 93-67, in Bracket B.
Joshua Aspacio sparked Mondo Skimcoat with 26 points. Bong Gabison contributed with 14, Samboi Parcon added 13 and Michael Judilla chipped in with 12.
Neilfred Bacus led Megacryl with 25 points, five boards and two steals. Alain Lim added 16 and Beethoven Egos had 10. (EKA)
