6 nabbed for shabu in Negros Occidental

SIX persons were arrested in separate drug busts in Negros Occidental this week.

In Bacolod City, Rolando Wenceslao, 50, a newly-identified drug personality; and Roselyn Abellar, 40, both residents of Talisay City were collared in Barangay Banago on Tuesday, January 15.

Police recovered from them five sachets of "shabu" (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing six grams worth P20,000, P300 in cash, the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Both suspects are detained at Police Station 3.

In Murcia town, Orly Turbela, 30, a drug surrenderer, of Barangay Pandanon was arrested on Wednesday, January 16, in the said village after police seized from him three sachets of "shabu," the P300 marked money, and matches.

On the same day, in Sagay City, Jesrel Jusayan, 24, of Barangay Poblacion 1 was arrested in the said village, which resulted in the confiscation of four sachets of "shabu" worth P2,000, the P500 marked money, and P1,860 in cash.

Also in Binalbagan town, Christopher Reyes, 43, of Barangay Bagroy was arrested in the said village after police confiscated from him two sachets of "shabu," the P300 marked money, and P100 in cash.

Arrested over the weekend was Felix Olvedado Jr., 22, of Barangay 2, Bacolod City, after he allegedly yielded six sachets of "shabu" worth P24,000, the P500 marked money, coin purse, and a cellular phone.

He is detained at Police Station 2. (GYM)
